Crystalline

Working with open knit and negative space, I machine knit the dress with alternating cast off to create curvilinear shapes within the dress. I also wanted to experiment with laser cutting, so I created teardrop shaped pieces in Rhino 7 to be attached to the dress using the cast off technique. The dress encourages movement and the laser cut acrylic draws reflective light.
